Podcasting

Building Awareness and Feeding the Content Engine

Podcasting is a low cost way to engage with thought leaders and potential customers in our ICP, with a secondary focus on potential lead generation. It's unlikely that podcasting will be a direct lead generation vehicle for us. Instead we're using it as a long term tool to build brand awareness, thought leadership, and creating valuable audio content that can be repurposed.

  • Podcast Concept and Format Refinement
    • Refine the podcast's theme, target audience, format, and initial episode ideas.
    • Align the podcast theme with your core value proposition and target audience pain points (defined in Phase 1).
    • Refine the format (interview-based, solo, co-hosted, etc.). Interview-based aligns with engaging your ICP and thought leaders.
    • Build guest list (industry experts, potential partners, even satisfied customers later on).
    • Refine episode structure and length.
    • Success is a documented podcast concept, target audience, format, and a list of at least 5-10 potential episode topics and guests.
  • Content Repurposing
    • Extract valuable content from podcast episodes to fuel other marketing channels.
    • Transcribe podcast episodes.
    • Create blog posts summarizing key insights or expanding on topics discussed.
    • Generate social media quotes and snippets.
    • Potentially create short video clips.
    • Success is repurposed content (blog posts, social media assets) derived from podcast episodes.
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Track podcast downloads, listenership, and gather qualitative feedback to inform future content and strategy.
    • Monitor download numbers and listenership data on the hosting platform.
    • Solicit feedback from listeners and guests.
    • Analyze which topics and guests resonate most with the audience.
    • Success is regular reports on podcast performance and a log of feedback received.
