Operations

Role in Startup
Operations is about ensuring the day-to-day back-office stuff runs smoothly—things like office management, basic IT setups, and managing subscriptions to key tools. Often, this is shared among the team or led by a founder.

Objectives
Keep operational friction low so you can focus on your product and customers. If your email system goes down, or your DevOps pipeline breaks, you fix it right now. You’ll typically rely on cheap or free tools to manage these tasks.

Areas of Specialization
Since you’re still small, you won’t have formal “RevOps” or advanced IT processes. Instead, you have a patchwork of solutions. Specialization will grow as you add more users, manage more data, and face compliance or security requirements.
